With more and more customers starting their car buying journeys online, a good website has effectively become the shop window for dealers up and down the country.
Our Used Car Website of the Year trophy aims to reward those firms that do online better than the competition with a simple, easy-to-use website.
Our judges pored over crucial mystery shopping scores and our two highly commended firms – MB Motors Ballymena and ASK Motors – both performed impressively.
However, in the end it was Car Planet which came out on top this year, impressing our judges with its intuitive and easy to navigate website, which was followed up by excellent customer service in person.
The firm, which is based in Watford and Barnet, stocks over 2,000 cars at a time, making a smooth online process absolutely crucial.
The outfit says it now offers an ‘easier-than-ever online experience’, as part of a drive to make the sales process quicker and more reliable than ever.
Collecting the latest accolade, Taslim Miah, CEO of Car Planet, said: ‘When it comes to our website, we take great pride in our online presence and for the past 18 months we have been working on moving to an in-house bespoke website.
‘We have got a team offshore and in the UK who have helped us build this website for the past year and a half. If you go on our website you will see that it’s quite simple, easy to use and seamless.
‘We’ve got a lot of exciting features to come, including AI chatbots, with the aim of helping customers find the right car for themselves.
