Eden Motor Group has expanded its Mazda representation with the official opening of a new dealership in Exeter.
The site, which began trading on May 1, was officially opened this week by Mazda UK managing director Jeremy Thomson at a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Located on the Marsh Barton Trading Estate, Exeter becomes Eden’s fifth Mazda dealership, joining its existing sites in Basingstoke, Reading, Newbury and Taunton.
The latest addition builds on Eden’s long-standing presence in the Exeter area, where the dealer group has operated since 2008.
Graeme Potts, CEO of Eden Motor Retail Ltd, said: ‘I am delighted that Eden has expanded its Mazda representation with the addition of Exeter, a key location for us following a strong Eden presence in the area since 2008.
‘This latest development further strengthens our relationship with Mazda, with Exeter becoming our fifth Mazda dealership.
‘We are happy to be enhancing the Mazda offering for our mutual customers across the South-West, building on our established Mazda dealership in Taunton and driving the next phase of growth together.’
Eden Motor Group operates 20 dealerships across the south of England and has already enjoyed success with its existing Mazda businesses.
Its Taunton and Basingstoke dealerships both secured category wins in the manufacturer’s 2026 Mazda All Stars dealer performance awards.
Thomson said the Exeter opening had particular significance for him because he grew up in the city.
He said: ‘Having grown up in Exeter I have a particular desire to ensure the Mazda brand is strongly represented and provides outstanding service to our customers, current and future, across the whole of Devon.
‘I was therefore delighted to visit Exeter and witness how Eden Motor Group has launched a high-profile Mazda dealership in the heart of the county and continue to deliver the outstanding representation they have provided across their other four sites.
‘Notably their dealership in Taunton has achieved incredible success and significant growth, and I am confident the same will be true of the new Exeter location.’
The opening also comes during a busy period for Mazda’s UK dealer network, with the manufacturer launching three all-new cars over a six-month period.
The new CX-5 and Mazda6e are already on display at Eden Mazda Exeter, with the retailer becoming one of the first Mazda dealers nationally to hit its Mazda6e pre-order objectives.
The first customer cars have now been delivered from the Exeter site, which offers sales, servicing and parts operations.
