Family-owned dealer group Warners has expanded its relationship with Chery by opening a showroom in Cheltenham, bringing the fast-growing Chinese brand to Gloucestershire for the first time.

The new dealership, located on Blaisdon Way, follows the launch of the group’s Omoda and Jaecoo operation in Gloucester, which Warners says has exceeded expectations and encouraged it to invest further in the Chery brand family.

The Cheltenham showroom will sell Chery’s latest petrol and hybrid SUVs, with the manufacturer aiming to attract buyers to their high levels of standard equipment, technology and value.

Mark Jones, managing director at Warners, said: ‘The response to Omoda and Jaecoo in Gloucester has exceeded our expectations and demonstrated that customers are actively looking for innovative, technology-rich vehicles that deliver exceptional value.

‘The success of those brands gave us real confidence in the strength of the wider Chery Group. We believe the brand has enormous potential in the UK market and we’re proud to be part of its continued growth.’

Chery has been accelerating its UK expansion in recent months as it looks to build on the success of sister brands Omoda and Jaecoo.

The manufacturer recently received industry recognition including Carwow’s Car of the Year and Hybrid Hero awards for the TIGGO 8, while it was also named Auto Trader Drivers’ Choice Best Value Brand 2026.

Warners, which has been operating in Gloucestershire since 1920, said the addition of Chery was a natural next step in its growth strategy.

CEO Guy Warner said: ‘As a family business, we have spent more than 100 years adapting to the changing needs of motorists while staying true to the values that have always defined Warners. Bringing CHERY to Cheltenham was a natural next step, and we’re delighted to give customers across the county access to a brand that is already making a significant impact around the world.’
