A family-run caravan dealer is set to bring the curtain down on 50 years in the trade after the firm collapsed into adminstration.
The Cheshire-based Leisure Sales announced last week that it would be closing for good in a move that puts up to 30 jobs at risk, according to the Northwich Guardian.
Bosses have blamed ‘difficult times’ for the move and thanked customers for their 50 years of loyal service.
In a statement issued on social media, the firm said: ‘To every customer who purchased a caravan from us, recommended us to friends and family, or supported us along the way – thank you.
‘You have been so much more than customers, and we are truly grateful to have been part of your journeys.’
As well as the main dealership, which included showroom and workshop facilities, the firm also operated a cafe and a shop.
Customers who purchased new caravans from the dealership have been told their manufacturer warranties will remain in place.
Bailey customers can find approved workshops through the manufacturer’s website, while Swift owners can use the brand’s dealer locator to find an authorised repairer.
Owners of used caravans with MB&G Insurance warranties should contact the insurer to check whether work is covered and arrange repairs through an approved workshop.
On its website, Leisure Sales describes itself as ‘Cheshire’s premier caravan dealer’, holding the region’s only Swift franchise.
Car Dealer has approached the firm for comment.
