Family-run dealer group Struans Motors has expanded its relationship with Mazda by opening a second franchise in Scotland.

The new dealership in Dundee builds on the group’s 45-year partnership with the Japanese manufacturer, which began at its Perth site in 1981.

Struans Mazda Dundee has now officially opened its doors, offering new and used car sales alongside servicing and repairs.

Located just off the A90, the six-acre site becomes the dealer group’s second Mazda franchise, with the Perth operation remaining one of the manufacturer’s longest-serving retailers in Scotland.

The opening comes as Mazda looks to expand its presence north of the border, where it says it currently holds a 2.4% market share.

The dealership will also offer used vehicles through the Mazda Selected approved programme, which includes a 12-month unlimited-mileage warranty and European roadside assistance.

Jeremy Thomson, managing director of Mazda UK, said: ‘We’re delighted to see Struans expand its representation for Mazda in Scotland with the opening of the Dundee showroom.

‘We have a long-standing and successful relationship with Struans since 1981, and their commitment to customer service has earned several recognition awards.

‘The team’s values and customer-first mindset align perfectly with Mazda’s, which gives us great confidence in the strength of this partnership continuing to grow together with the new Dundee site.’

The expansion follows a series of awards for Struans’ existing Mazda operation in Perth.

The business was recognised for customer satisfaction at Mazda’s annual All Stars awards in 2023 and was named Motability Dealer of the Year in 2026.

David Angus, group head of sales at Struans Motors, said: ‘We’re delighted to be welcoming Mazda to our Dundee site and further strengthening our long-standing relationship with the brand.

‘Having represented Mazda in Perth for 45 years, we have built a reputation for delivering exceptional customer service and excellence, achieving top recognition at the annual Mazda All Stars for customer satisfaction in 2023 and most recently Motability Dealer of the Year in 2026.

‘Our new Dundee site will build on that success, and customers can expect the same high standards and customer-focused approach that we are renowned for.’
