Fiat’s Citroen Ami rival – the Topolino – has gone on sale in the UK with prices starting at £8,995.
Built on the same platform as the Ami, the Topolino will be on sale via ‘selected retailers’ across the UK.
The electric quadricycle has been designed to pay homage to the original 500 Topolino, which was produced between 1936 and 1955.
The reimagined version uses a 6kW motor and a compact battery to deliver a range of up to 46 miles, while a top speed of 28mph means it’s focused primarily on urban or city use.
Despite its compact size, the Topolino offers up to 63 litres of space, while a ‘Dolce Vita Box’ sees a fabric-topped compartment located on the top of the dashboard.

Inside, there is space for two, while a handy smartphone mount means that it’s easy to view smartphone mapping services while you’re on the move.
Underneath, a simple three-button gear selector should help to make swapping between gears easier.
Kris Cholmondeley, managing director of Fiat UK, said: ‘Topolino is an important part of Fiat’s sustainable micromobility strategy, delivering simple, accessible urban mobility.
‘It offers a practical solution for short journeys, leisure use and city environments, while fully embracing Fiat’s values of joy, simplicity and fun.’

Like the Citroen, the Fiat gets fully functioning doors and an enclosed design that will help protect occupants from the elements.
