Car dealers will be all too aware of how distrusted they are by some consumers – but we want to know about your real life experiences in showrooms.
Car Dealer has launched a special survey of the motor trade, in conjunction with Cazoo, to find out what the current state of trust is in the industry.
The short survey can be filled out online now via Surveymonkey and readers will also be asked questions in a series of polls in our Breaking News WhatsApp groups.
The results are set to give a unique insight into trust in the motor trade.
Taking part in the survey via the online Surveymonkey link can also win you an iPhone 17 with one respondent picked at random.
To be in with a chance of winning you will have to give your email address at the end of the survey, which will not be shared with anyone unless to contact you about the prize.
The full survey results will be published soon by Car Dealer.
It comes as Cazoo launches a new campaign called ‘Honestly, Finally’ as it aims to build trust in the motor trade and ‘reduce friction in used car searches’.
Cazoo found that 25 to 34-year-olds were among the most distrustful when it comes to buying a used car in a survey it carried out of 2,000 consumers.
This Car Dealer survey aims to find out what dealers are experiencing every day on their forecourts.
Cazoo’s Lucy Tugby said: ‘Our ‘Honestly, Finally’ brand platform addresses the frustrations and anxieties many consumers, especially younger buyers, experience when purchasing a used car.
‘It often feels like the used car search process wasn’t built to serve buyers. And it wasn’t really built to serve dealers either. It’s time we stop pretending these issues don’t exist.
‘The first step is to reclaim consumer trust, which is why we’ve built our new brand platform around complete transparency. We’ve not fixed the market yet. But we’re committed to building, step by step, a platform with nothing to hide.
‘That means giving buyers a better view of what sits behind a listing and being clearer with dealers about what good looks like.
‘We also believe great dealers should be recognised and celebrated and on Cazoo we want to make sure they get the visibility and opportunity they deserve. When dealers are better supported, buyers benefit too, creating a healthier, more effective car search experience.’
But is there a problem with consumers trusting dealers? The survey is a great place to give us your opinion so we can find out. It takes two minutes to fill out and terms and conditions can be found here on the prize draw.
