The clock is ticking for dealers to put themselves forward for the 2026 Used Car Awards, with nominations closing in just ONE WEEK’S TIME.
Dealers have until next Monday (Sept 28) to throw their hat in the ring, meaning there are now just seven days left to make sure you have a shot at glory.
From the best used car dealerships, to the best teams, and dealer principals – on November 30 we’ll be announcing who was a cut above the rest when it came to our mystery shopping.
The Used Car Awards, sponsored by Black Horse, will be hosted once again by Wheeler Dealers TV presenter Mike Brewer at the Brewery in London where, if you’re selling cars under £5,000 or supercars for over a million, everyone is up for a chance of walking away with a coveted gong.
But to be in with a chance of joining us on the night, the first step is to complete our nominations form before next week’s deadline slams shut.
You can nominate yourself or someone else you think would be deserving of an award, and then the Car Dealer team gets to work assessing these people and businesses to whittle down to the shortlist of potential winners.
Car Dealer editor-in-chief James Baggott says dealers should not risk leaving their nominations until the last minute.
He said: ‘Dealers, the clock is ticking – there’s now just one week left to get your nominations in for the 2026 Used Car Awards.
‘Every year we hear from dealers who say they meant to enter but left it too late, and I don’t want anyone missing out this time around.
‘These awards are about recognising the people and businesses that are going the extra mile and making a real difference in the used car sector.
‘Whether it’s your dealership, a colleague, a supplier or someone in the wider industry who deserves recognition, get their name in the hat.
‘We’ve got some fantastic categories this year and competition is going to be fierce, but you can’t win if you’re not nominated.
‘So don’t wait, don’t put it off and don’t assume someone else will do it – get your nominations in now.
‘You’ve got one week left, and when that deadline passes, it’s gone!’
Nominations still open
With time running out to put yourself forward, here are the other key dates for your diary:
- Nominations close: Monday, September 28
- Nominations (long list) revealed: Monday, October 5
- Shortlist revealed: Monday, October 19
- Awards night: Monday, November 30
To be in with a chance of a trophy, our nominations form needs to be completed and the process couldn’t be any more straightforward!
All you need to do is select the category that you’d like to nominate yourself or someone else for on the form and supply the requested details.
From there, all entries will be judged by our Car Dealer experts, who will whittle them down to a nominations list.
