Lookers has expanded its partnership with Chinese electric vehicle brand Leapmotor by opening two new dealerships in Liverpool and Chester.
The new sites give customers in the North West access to the Stellantis-backed manufacturer’s growing range of electric cars, with the retailer now representing the brand from its dealerships on Derby Road in Bootle and Sealand Road in Chester.
Initially, both dealerships will offer the Leapmotor T03 city car, the C10 SUV and the B10 mid-sized SUV, with further models expected to join the range later this year, including the recently launched B05 hatchback and forthcoming B03X compact SUV.

The expansion comes as Leapmotor continues to build momentum in the UK market following its launch in March 2025.
According to Lookers, the manufacturer had secured a 3% share of the UK’s electric car market by the end of June 2026, just three months into its second year of trading, with more than 11,000 registrations recorded since launch.
Graham added: ‘The launch of our new Liverpool and Chester dealerships represents a significant investment in the region and demonstrates our confidence in the future of sustainable driving.

Founded in 2015, Leapmotor is backed by Stellantis and has been rapidly expanding internationally. The company recently announced it had surpassed 1.5 million vehicle deliveries worldwide.
The latest openings further strengthen Lookers’ representation of emerging Chinese brands as the retailer continues to broaden its electric vehicle offering.
Through its Lookers and Charles Hurst businesses, the group represents 39 vehicle and motorcycle brands across 150 franchised dealerships in the UK and Ireland.
