ALFA’S MINI-rivalling new hatch will make its UK debut at the London Motor Show, the firm has confirmed.
On sale in January, the MiTo is a three-door ‘premium supermini’ that will provide the MINI with perhaps its stiffest challenge yet. It certainly looks the business, with an 8C-style front, LED rear lights, frameless side windows plus bold lines and a squat stance.
Alfa also promises ‘high quality build, superb materials and top quality fabrics’ inside.
But it is prices that really grab the headlines. The base 95bhp 1.4 Turismo will cost £10,975, while the turbocharged 155bhp 1.4 TB Veloce will be priced at £14,975. The range line-up will comprise three petrol and two diesel engines. A base MINI One costs £11,625.
This could be the latest ‘big thing’ to hit showrooms as 2009 begins. Be sure to check it out in close quarter at the show!
