ONE of the leading dealer groups in the south of England has invested strongly in the future of the Nissan brand.
Hendy Automotive has acquired the share capital of Westover Group Limited, which has Nissan sites in Bournemouth and Salisbury.
Spencer Clayton-Jones, Nissan’s director of network development and customer quality, said: ‘The share takeover of Westover by Hendy Automotive Ltd is a significant development, as it shows how much value the group places in the Nissan brand.
‘Hendy is a major name in the south of England, and its acquisition of Westover’s share capital shows just how strong an appeal the Nissan brand has for dealer group investors.
‘Our pioneering position as an EV leader, along with our enticing range of crossovers, SUVs, family cars and commercial vehicles, makes the brand particularly attractive in an increasingly competitive market.’
The two sites will continue to trade under the Westover name. The cost of the acquisition has not been disclosed.
