JLR is to add a fifth model to its Range Rover line-up in the shape of a svelte SUV grand tourer.
Appropriately called ‘GT’, the new electric coupe SUV will sit above the forthcoming next-generation Velar in the Range Rover line-up.
It will be the first electric Range Rover to sit on the new ‘EMA’ platform, and while details on the car’s exterior design are limited at this stage, Land Rover has revealed the GT’s stunning interior.
New images show that the car will have a low, sloping roofline, flush door handles and curvaceous rear overhangs.
The cabin features a rectangular digital instrument cluster, a single infotainment display and a concealed air vent that runs the width of the dashboard. Meanwhile, the dash itself is wrapped up in a woven textile upholstery, which has been used to hide the speakers and to make the cabin feel more premium.
It’s believed the Range Rover GT will roll down JLR’s Halewood plant, which already builds the Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery Sport. Production is expected to begin in the first half of 2027.
