Knowing you’ve got your back covered is a feeling any car dealer craves, especially when it comes to warranties.

A good firm will ensure there’s help and support along the way, plus ensure a process that’s seamless for both the dealer and the customer.

Taking highly commended gongs in this category in Car Dealer Power 2025 were Autoguard and Warranty Solution Group, but sealing the win for yet another was Warrantywise.

Zack Grogan, dealer sales manager at Warrantywise, said the latest win was a reward for the hard work of the entire business.

‘Since we found out, it was a bit of a surreal feeling,’ he told Car Dealer.

‘The team at Warrantywise work tremendously hard. No one’s perfect, but we try and get as close as we can be.

“We are over the moon because it’s a testament to the fact that we keep continuously trying to improve the business and what we provide to dealers.’

A close relationship with dealers is the key to Warrantywise’s success, said Grogan.

‘If I’m honest, I think we’re really in tune with the dealer network.

‘We have really good relationships and they feedback to us the things that they really like and they feedback to us quite well the things that they don’t like, and we change those.

‘We try and be proactive if we see certain things that don’t quite seem right.’

Over the past 12 months, the Blackburn-based business has been utilising its extensive data to influence its products and services.

‘I think that’s really helped,’ he said. ‘We’ve got 26 years’ worth of data to work off – it has helped us make some changes around how we operate and obviously it’s worked.’

Among the biggest developments in the last 12 months has been the relaunch of the firm’s dealer portal.

‘We’ve relaunched the dealer portal in a new way so dealers can see a lot more of the metrics that they’re probably wanting to see – cars sold, the average age and mileage of the vehicles that they sell,’ he said.

‘We want to take the data we’ve got and feed it back to them because, more than just being a warranty provider, we want to try and be this sort of valued partner.

‘Fortunately, it does seem to be working. Dealers do seem to really like it.’

Looking ahead, Grogan said Warrantywise has ambitious plans as it enters the second year of its three-year strategy.

‘Obviously I can’t give too much away, but it’s heavily focused around the dealer network and what we can do to enhance their experience and hopefully make them more profit along the lines as well.’

Thanking dealers for their support, he added: ‘To win this award again is just amazing, really.

‘I can’t wait to tell the team because they’ll be delighted. It’s all their hard work.

‘And it’s not just the dealer team. It’s the repairs team, it’s the admin function, it’s everything within Warrantywise. They’ll be delighted. So thank you.’
