ASTON Martin’s Vantage is the most popular convertible among consumers, says a recent survey by Auto Trader.
In its list of the top 10 convertibles, the Vantage was followed by the Mercedes-Benz SL, Jaguar XK, Porsche 911, Mazda MX-5, Ferrari California, BMW 3 Series, Audi TT, Lotus Elise, and Volkswagen’s Golf
The survey also revealed that 95 per cent of convertible owners will buy another one, 65 per cent of respondents are already on at least their second convertible with 77 per cent claiming that the main reason for buying a convertible is to have the roof down on sunny days.
Nathan Coe, group director, Auto Trader said: ‘Our love affair with convertibles shows no signs of diminishing, despite our unpredictable weather and tough economic conditions.
‘This is evidenced by the fact that the UK is still the second largest convertible market in Europe. It is also no surprise to see the iconic Aston Martin topping the list of favourite convertibles. Auto Trader has about 21,000 convertibles listed for sale each month by dealers, with an average price of £10,500.’
