Rolls-Royce has a new UK boss after John Beckley was named as the luxury brand’s regional director for the United Kingdom, Europe and Central Asia.
Beckley takes up the role after spending the three decades at BMW Group, the last 18 of which have been with Rolls-Royce.
He assumed his new position at the start of this month, succeeding Boris Weletzky, who has moved to take up a senior role in BMW Group’s Motorrad division in Munich.
Bosses say Beckley will bring ‘deep strategic and operational experience’, reflecting the importance of the UK to Rolls-Royce.
His previous jobs within the brand include serving as general manager of the Bespoke Division and sales manager for Europe.
He began his career as a BMW apprentice technician, before making the leap into leadership a few years later.
Reflecting on the appointment, Julian Jenkins, director of sales & brand at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome John Beckley to his new role as regional director for the United Kingdom, Europe, and Central Asia – a significant and sizeable geographical region which is extremely important to our business.
‘John brings his extensive strategic and operational experience, having held several senior positions during his 20-year tenure within Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
‘His recent experiences, particularly within Sales and Bespoke, will ensure the continued momentum in these key markets underpinning the increasing requests for Bespoke Rolls-Royce. I wish John every success in his new role.
‘John succeeds Boris Weletzky, whom I would like to thank for his contribution to Rolls-Royce’s success in the region and wish him well in his new senior role within the BMW Group.’
