Former Genesis UK boss Jonny Miller has moved to International Motors to take up the role of sales director (passenger cars) for UK and Ireland.

As part of his new role, Miller will also be responsible for sales operations for Xpeng UK as well as Subaru UK & Ireland.

Before leading Genesis in the UK as brand director, Miller was the premium carmaker’s UK sales director. Prior to that, he had stints at Polestar, Volvo, Fiat Group, and Glass’s.

Lorraine Bishton, managing director for passenger car brands at International Motors Ltd, said: ‘We are pleased to have Jonny on board and heading our sales operations.

‘Xpeng is a new brand in the market, and we are currently in an exciting phase of development as the brand establishes itself in the UK. Jonny’s valuable experience, particularly with emerging EV brands, will further strengthen our team and sales business.’

Commenting on his new role, Miller said: ‘Xpeng is an exciting new brand, focused on next-generation technology.

‘With new retailers and new vehicle launches on the horizon, Xpeng is set to continue with its expansion in the UK.

‘The automotive landscape is in a fascinating and fast-paced period of change and leading the sales direction for Xpeng and Subaru will be exciting.’

Along with Xpeng and Subaru, International Motors is the distributor for Isuzu and GWM, and recently revealed it will be leading Mitsubishi Motors’ return to the UK market next year.
