Confirming his departure, Jones said: ‘After an incredible 15 years with Motors, I will be leaving for an exciting new opportunity.

‘I have so many amazing memories over my time with the business which has grown tenfold by revenue and generated millions of leads for our dealer partners.

‘The last year has been a real highlight with the new Cazoo platforms and multiple records broken. While it is bittersweet to leave with so much opportunity ahead, I am confident the amazing team here will take it to the next level in 2026 and beyond.

‘I would like to thank all the partners, suppliers and team members I’ve had the pleasure to work with over the years and wish them every success for the future.’

Bosses at Motors and Cazoo say that work is now underway to appoint a new commercial leader, with Jones set to be involved in the process to ensure a ‘seamless transition’.

Barry Judge, CEO of the firms, also paid tribute to the contribution of the outgoing Jones.

He added: ‘Phill’s contribution to the management and growth of Motors and Cazoo is immeasurable. Without him, it would not be the business we know today.

‘He has been an inspirational leader and played a pivotal role in building long lasting partnerships across the dealer community. I would like to thank him for his outstanding contribution and wish him every success in his future career.’
