Omoda Jaecoo have grown their UK dealer network to 146 sites in just two years as the Chinese brands continue one of the fastest expansions seen in the British new car market.

The Chery-owned marques plan to celebrate their second anniversary in Britain with a nationwide dealer campaign.

The latest milestone follows another strong June, when the two brands registered 9,754 cars and secured a 4.58% share of the UK new car market.

The brands’ rise has been underlined by the performance of the Jaecoo 7, which became the UK’s best-selling new car in March after recording more than 10,000 registrations during the month.

The SUV has remained one of the strongest performers for the brand and helped establish Omoda Jaecoo among the UK’s fastest-growing manufacturers.

To mark the anniversary, its car dealers across the country will host ‘The Power of Two’ campaign between August 5 and 12.

Customers who complete a test drive will receive a guaranteed prize, including cinema tickets, IMO car washes and airport lounge access, while buyers of new vehicles will also be eligible for a range of lifestyle and adventure experiences.

Victor Zhang, country director of Omoda and Jaecoo UK, said: ‘Our second anniversary represents an important milestone for everyone at Omoda Jaecoo UK.

‘In just two years, we have introduced two exciting brands to the British market, established a strong nationwide retailer network and welcomed thousands of customers.’

Recently, listed dealer group Vertu announced it had opened its first dedicated Omoda Jaecoo dealership in Burton as more dealer groups add the franchises to their portfolios.

The brands’ growing momentum was also reflected at this year’s Car Dealer Power Awards, where the Jaecoo 7 was crowned Mid-sized Car of the Year, adding another accolade to its growing list of achievements.
