CAR Dealer is out the office this afternoon. Where are we? In Thurleigh, that’s where – attending Paragon Remarketing’s first-ever auction!
The first no-fee online auction kicks off at 3pm today, and chief Peter Davies says things are going swimmingly.
We’re set up on WiFi, the coffee and sandwiches are flowing, the first vendor has just arrived and the cars lined up outside are ready for sale.
Thing is, Davies says that, ideally, nobody will turn up today. See, the whole idea here is to promote the online element. Give buyers confidence that, actually, there’s no need for them to be here.
‘If we’ve done our job right, buyers will trust us to do it all from the comfort of their office.’
Simply put, the revolution starts today.
