A CAR dealership in Cardiff celebrated its fifth birthday at the weekend by helping to raise money for its Charity of the Year.
Wessex Garages Hyundai, of Penarth Road, hosted a mini party, providing a glass of bubbly (for non-drivers), party food and cake in aid of Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales.
Richard Craythorne, general manager at the dealership, said: ‘We had a great weekend celebrating the fifth birthday of our Hyundai dealership. Lots of people popped in during the weekend to see us and help us celebrate.
‘We can’t believe it has been five years already and would like to thank all our staff past and present for making the dealership a success. Without their hard work and the support of Cardiff people it would not have been possible.’
The celebratory weekend was filled with activities of all kinds, including complimentary car washes.
Craythorne added: ‘During our mini party weekend, as well as the complimentary nibbles and drinks, we also hosted a charity car wash so customers could have their vehicles cleaned for a donation to Bobath. At the moment we’re still counting the money raised.’
The first 10 people to purchase a new Hyundai vehicle over the weekend were also given a free £50 fuel voucher, while the first five also received a free car wash.
Meanwhile, anyone who purchased a three-year service plan during the event was automatically upgraded to a five-year plan free of charge.
Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales is a registered charity, which provides specialist physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy.
Wessex Garages specialises in new and used car sales across South Wales and the South West.
