Car supermarket Motorpoint on the hunt for more staff

Time 7:27 am, February 12, 2014

Adam Reynolds, Recruitment Manager, MotorpointCAR supermarket Motorpoint will be hosting a series of special open days for prospective employees later this month.

The company says that due to continual growth since it was founded in the late 1990s and selling a car every six minutes last year, it is now on the hunt for ‘talented individuals’ to join the firm.

The open days, which will be held onsite at Motorpoint Newport on Friday, February 21 between 2-7pm and Motorpoint Glasgow on Sunday, February 23 between 12-5pm, will provide potential employees with a unique insight into the company as well as an opportunity to learn more about Motorpoint’s core values and culture.

Motorpoint says experience is not a prerequisite for working in sales at the company – and it even has its on training academy to train new staff.

The academy is equipped with the very latest training aids, every new starter spends several weeks at the academy being introduced to the internal sales process as well as the company’s Management Information Systems (MIS) prior to working in sales.

Adam Reynolds, recruitment manager at Motorpoint (pictured), said: ‘We are gearing up for further growth and to be able to achieve our goals we need to get bigger.

‘Although a sales background is useful the key qualification that we look for is personality. That’s why we’re keen for people of all backgrounds and all ages to come along to Motorpoint Newport and tell us more about themselves. In return we’ll tell you more about what’s involved in these exciting positions and the great salaries and prospects that go with them.

‘We need more people to help our customers buy their cars and to make sure they are so delighted with everything we do for them that they come back for more.’
