KIA has delivered a new record in sales performance for the month, with 6,027 vehicles delivered to customers.
Kia’s 6,027 sales in July were up from a 5,593 in 2012 and these figures represent a 3.72 per cent share of the increased new car market, after SMMT raised its forecast and predicted 2013 sales to reach 2.2 million.
Meanwhile, the brand saw its year-to-date market share reach 3.26 per cent with sales so far amounting to 43,205.
These performance figures have been lead by Kia’s Sportage, with 1,707 customers taking delivery during July and the all-new Cee’d in second place, with 1,365 sales.
President and chief executive of Kia Motors UK, Paul Philpott, said: ‘We have set new sales records almost every month this year and clearly our dealer network and line-up of cars is a strong attraction as the new car market continues to show the way out of the recession.’
