GForces, a leading provider of internet software and services for the automotive industry, has posted the informative and succinct film on YouTube.

Called simply ‘Social Media for Automotive retailers,’ the video explains that in the automotive sector, it’s not about pushing sales of products and services, ‘it’s about showcasing your brand, your credibility and your likeability’.

By encouraging human interaction, you can build a community of people who will become your brand advocates, the company advises.

And if car dealers aren’t convinced, there are plenty of statistics to persuade you to get involved. For example, did you know that 21 per cent of vehicle purchase decisions are influenced by social media? That’s more than in any other industry.

The video goes on to provide some useful facts and figures about the main social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

GForces is well-known for helping to promote and sell vehicles through the use of digital and mobile technologies and media. The company works with major car manufacturers, over half of the top 200 automotive retailers in the UK and the Middle East’s largest vehicle distributors.
