Dealer group Waylands has announced further expansion in Hampshire with the acquisition of independent Volkswagen service and repair specialist White Rose Petersfield.
The business, based on Station Road in Petersfield, has been operating for more than 40 years and specialises in servicing Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda vehicles.
The deal comes shortly after Waylands acquired Stringers of Petersfield and Cambridge Garage’s Volvo operations in Havant from the Stringer family earlier this year.
White Rose is located next to Waylands’ newly acquired Stringers business, giving the dealer group a larger presence in Petersfield.
The entire White Rose team has joined Waylands as part of the acquisition.
The business will continue to trade under the White Rose name in the short term, with Waylands saying this will provide continuity for customers while retaining the company’s existing identity and relationships.
Waylands CEO John O’Hanlon said the business was a natural fit for the group because of its reputation for customer service and technical expertise.
‘White Rose has earned an outstanding reputation through its commitment to customer service, technical expertise and strong relationships within the local community,’ he said.
‘These qualities closely reflect our own values, making it a natural fit for Waylands.’
O’Hanlon said the acquisition would further strengthen Waylands’ presence in Petersfield following its recent purchases.
‘Bringing these businesses together creates exciting opportunities for growth, while ensuring customers continue to receive the personal, trusted service they have come to expect,’ he said.
He added that Waylands would look to maintain White Rose’s existing culture while providing support and investment from the wider group.
