Dealer group Arnold Clark has opened five new Leapmotor sites in Scotland – more than doubling its representation of the Chinese brand north of the border.
The Car Dealer Top 100 leader has began welcoming customers to Leapmotor showrooms in Armadale, Edinburgh Seafield, Glasgow Hamilton Road, Kilmarnock and Glenrothes, taking the its total number of Leapmotor branches in Scotland to nine.
The new locations join existing Leapmotor sites in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow Garscube Road and Perth.
All the sites will now showcase the entire Leapmotor’s range, which includes T03 city car, B10 C-segment SUV, C10 mid-sized SUV and recently launched B05 coupe.
Customers will also be able to arrange test drives and get advice on electric vehicles at all nine branches.
Confirming the news, David Boyd, group brand director at Arnold Clark, said: ‘We are delighted to expand our partnership with Leapmotor by opening five new branches across Scotland.
‘Demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, and these additional locations mean even more customers can discover what Leapmotor has to offer.
‘Leapmotor combines innovative technology, impressive practicality and excellent value, making it a compelling choice for drivers considering the switch to electric.’
Car Dealer previously interviewed Leapmotor’s UK boss, Damien Dally in December of last year.
He told us the brand was targeting 105 retailers across the UK during 2026, having grown from 60 sites to 70 by the end of 2025.
Dally also said Leapmotor’s strategy was to keep its network within the existing Stellantis dealer family for the time being, with the brand largely sharing space with Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroen and Fiat retailers.
