Bangers4Ben is to return for its 18th year in 2026 with participants invited to sign up before its too late.

The legendary automotive industry charity road trip takes place between October 2 and 6, taking in a, never-before-attempted route to the Pyrenees.

Bosses have also confirmed next year’s theme will be ‘Back to the 80s’, with teams invited to embrace neon leg warmers, big hair and even bigger shoulder pads.

The trip will see teams will set off in cars costing no more than £750, beginning by sailing overnight from Portsmouth before scaling legendary driving roads including the Col du Tourmalet and Col d’Aubisque.

To add even more excitement, 2026 will feature an expanded programme of official team stops, additional destinations and a series of new challenges such as treasure hunts and on-the-road tasks designed to test creativity, teamwork and endurance.

Places for the 2026 event are strictly limited and expected to sell out quickly but if you are interested, you can sign up here.

Since launching in 2008, Bangers4Ben has already raised over £700,000 for automotive charity Ben and clocked up more than 20,000 miles.

It is hoped that the event will reach the £1m mark by its 20th anniversary in 2028, with bosses recently agreeing its first ever headline sponsorship deal with Automotive Compliance.

Andy Entwistle CEO of the team behind the event, said: ‘Automotive Compliance have been unwavering supporters of Ben for many years and are deeply embedded in the Bangers community.

‘Their headline sponsorship marks a major milestone for the event and sets us up for our best fundraising year yet.’
