SKODA dealer Station Garage has hosted a four-day-long motoring spectacular to mark its 25th birthday.
The celebrations, held on the Station Garage forecourt, ran from Wednesday 5 to Saturday 9, October, with a wide range of activities taking place each day – including Yeti off-roading, classic car showcases, a BBQ, and music festivities.
The four-day celebration offered something for everyone; from car enthusiasts, or those in search of entertainment with a difference, to potential car buyers.
Wednesday was a day of engine revving excitement, as Station Garage showcased Skoda’s motorsport credentials, offering visitors the chance to get up close to Skoda’s all-conquering Fabia Super 2000 rally car.
On Thursday, Station Garage displayed three rare Skoda vintage cars which have recently been painstakingly restored, while Friday was devoted to the Yeti.
The dealership invited Yeti owners to take a spin on a special off-road challenge, and offered test-drives of the vehicle for all who turned up on the day. The famous Top Gear Yeti, complete with its rooftop helicopter, was also on show.
The festivities were rounded up on Saturday, with a party thrown by the Station Garage staff, with a BBQ on the forecourt and music provided by the Heart Angels – official sponsors of the four-day event. Local residents, Linda Smith and Tina Hill were both lucky winners on the day, taking home a TV and a PS3 respectively.
James Thorpe, retailer principal of Station Garage comments: ‘Our birthday event was a huge success, I couldn’t be happier. Everyone who came along, staff included, had a fantastic time.’
