A FAMILY-owned and run motor group today celebrated the opening of new headquarters that will spearhead further growth across Yorkshire.
Harratts head office staff moved into new state-of-the-art building on Denby Dale Road in Wakefield as the motor group confirmed further jobs would be created following the biggest construction project in its 45-year history.
Adjacent to the new building is a new two-storey, purpose-built Honda dealership of 12,000sqft which will open in the coming weeks, creating in the region of 25 jobs.
The new headquarters will enable Harratts to continue to service its growing network of dealerships with increased office space and state-of-the-art facilities.
Harratts also crowned the winner of its Customer Service Excellence Awards as Simon Miller received a prize of £2,000 from managing director Shaun Harratt for exemplary customer service during 2011.
Shaun Harratt, pictured, said: ‘The opening of our new headquarters marks the start of an exciting chapter in the history of Harratts. We now have a fantastic facility that will enable us to continue our expansion across the region, whilst offering staff a wonderful working environment with state-of-the-art facilities.’
Customer service champion Simon Miller said he was ‘thrilled’ with his award, adding: ‘Providing excellent customer service is something I take very seriously.’
