Caffyns_logoDEALER group Caffyns has reported a 40 per cent rise in pre-tax profit to £1.5m for the last financial year.

The East Sussex-based company also saw new car sales increase by 18.6 per cent and used car sales up by 17.5 per cent.

Chief executive Simon Caffyn put the improvement down to relocating and maximising the potential of its sites.

He said: ‘By adopting a strategy of trading from larger sites, and by focussing on our excellent franchises, we have been able to record an improved operational performance in both new and used cars.’

Recently, Caffyns relocated its Volkswagen business in Worthing to a new showroom with improved viewing for customers.

The company also feel they strengthened their operation with the freehold property next to its Eastbourne dealership, acquired in December.

Caffyn continued: ‘We look forward to taking further advantage of the growth opportunities presented by improved economic conditions in the UK.’
