SCOTTISH car dealership Ness Motors has set up a hotel with a difference. For tyres…
It is leading an initiative to attract drivers to the benefits of winter tyres.
The dealership, which has showrooms in Perth, Elgin and Inverness, already sells winter tyres.
It offers to fit the winter tyres, and then store the current tyres in its ‘hotel’ free of charge – and, when the spring comes along with the warmer weather, to swap them over.
Douglas Laird, group parts manager for Ness Motors, said: ‘We looked after hundreds of tyres last winter.
‘There was a supply shortage of winter tyres last year across Scotland, but regular customers simply had us fit their winter tyres which were kept in the tyre hotel.’
Ness Motors has Renault, Dacia and Citroen showrooms.
