Auto Trader hits 1bn

autotraderAUTO Trader has today announced it has reached 1 billion monthly page impressions with its online offering.

Following research from Experian Hitwise who have name naming Auto Trader as the UK’s 7th most searched for brand online – ahead of Tesco, no less –  the latest user figures show Auto Trader as a digital beacon for dealers and consumers.

In March, Autotrader.co.uk achieved a year-on-year increase of 1m additional unique users, taking the total to 10.8m unique users for the month.  The site also received over 1bn page impressions, just behind digital giants such as MSN (1.2 bn) and Yahoo! (1.1 bn).


The firm’s mobile offerings have been strong too. March also saw Auto Trader Mobile – encompassing Autotrader.mobi, iPhone and Nokia apps – pass 1m monthly unique users.  The iPhone app alone has generated over 1m downloads since its launch in March 2010.

These achievements follow recent launches of Auto Trader’s new car offering and owner reviews section of the site. Since its launch in February, the site has experienced 600,000 users and 21,000 reviews respectively.
