Caffyns closes dealerships

screen-shot-2011-02-10-at-124932EASTBOURNE-based Caffyns is to close three of its businesses to reduce costs it has been revealed.

A bodyshop in Hailsham, a joint Nissan and Chevrolet dealership in Eastbourne, and a bodyshop in Tunbridge Wells will all be closed.

Caffyns touts the reduction of its costs and the improvement in the way it does business as the reasons for the decision, reports Insider Media. Although the closures will cost the firm £950k, Caffyns will invest the money in more profitable and modern dealerships.


The announcement comes after the closure of a Ford business in Haslemere, and the sale of a Citroen dealership in Uckfield.
