seat-ecomotiveSEAT’S most environmentally-friendly models are to be given an ‘E’ badge to grace their rear ends!

In an attempt to make their greenest models ‘even easier to spot’, the company will stick on a green ‘E’ badge to denote the most environmentally-friendly models.

Although SEAT is keen to point out that new ‘E Ecomotive’ models do not replace the current ‘Ecomotive’ branded models. Only cars fitted with ‘bespoke aerodynamics’ and low rolling resistance tyres will be fitted given the ‘E’ name.

In time, ‘E Ecomotive’ versions will join the already established ‘Ecomotive’ versions of the Ibiza, Leon, Altea, and the new Alhambra models.

SEAT UK’s product marketing manager Andy Medcraft, said: ‘The growing number of Ecomotives on our roads clearly shows how popular these frugal yet sporty cars are becoming.

‘I think the arrival of this new badging structure will only serve to underline our cars’ emergence as a leader in the field of environmentally responsible motoring.’
