Highly commended in the Recruitment Agency of the Year category was WeRecruit Auto.
The business is very new but has already made a big splash supporting car dealers in what has been such a turbulent time for the industry.
Mary Thompson, director at WeRecruit Auto spoke to Car Dealer about being recognised by customers in the survey.
She said: ‘To be honest, we were completely surprised when we had the call saying we were shortlisted.
‘Sharon and myself have about 20 years of experience combined, but our business WeRecruit Auto has only been trading since November last year – so we just had no idea.
‘We didn’t think we would be in the running for any awards.
‘We started the business leading up to Christmas and then, of course, we had Covid-19 but we’ve had so much support from previous clients and candidates.’
It’s appeared to be a challenging time for recruiters since March, particularly with redundancies on the horizon.
She added: ‘Actually July, August and September so far have been really positive months. Certainly more than we expected.
‘We expected to come back and it would be very quiet but actually it’s been good.’
