LAWGISTICS is the latest big name to sign up to speak at this year’s Car Dealer Conference.
The motor trade legal consultancy firm will be discussing the changes to the Sales of Goods Act and how this affects dealers, and how to make sure dealers are not caught out by the Distance Selling Directive.
Joel Combes, Lawgistics’ sales and marketing director, said: ‘We are delighted to confirm Lawgistics attendance at the Car Dealer Conference this year. It is not often the law changes but as of June 13, 2014, the new European Consumer Rights Directive will become part of UK law in the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
‘These regulations will affect many dealers who sell cars to consumers, irrespective of whether the car is sold at a distance or from the forecourt. One of our Car Dealer Club lawyers will be talking about these changes and also be available to discuss any motor trade legal questions.’
Lawgisitics joins an exciting speaker line-up made up of search engine giant Google, Sun Motors and Kia UK president and CEO Paul Philpott – and more are being added all of the time.
The Car Dealer Conference takes the theme of 2020 Vision for 2014. The FREE-to-attend conference will be taking a look at how the motor trade will evolve over the next six years – and how dealers can prepare for it. It will be held at Rockingham Motor Speedway, Northamptonshire, on Friday, June 20.
