Snows Accident Repair Centre has been recognised for its efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve sustainability after achieving Level 4 status under an industry environmental scheme.
The Southampton-based business, which operates from Third Avenue in Millbrook, has received the accreditation from ARIES, the Accident Repair Industry Environmental Standard.
Launched last year, ARIES is a sustainability framework designed specifically for the UK accident repair sector, helping businesses measure their environmental impact, reduce emissions and improve operating practices.
The scheme has five levels of accreditation, with businesses progressing through them as they introduce measures to reduce their carbon footprint.
Dan Bush, head of business at Snows Accident Repair Centre, said: ‘We are delighted to have achieved Level 4 ARIES status. Managing our energy use and emission levels has never been more important for us and there is nothing more vital than protecting our environment for future generations.
‘Our newly-achieved Level 4 status shows how serious we are about adopting and maintaining the highest sustainability standards. We are determined to keep reducing our carbon footprint and minimising waste in everything we do.
‘The guidelines established by ARIES are regularly reviewed to accommodate regulatory changes and advancements in the industry and we are very pleased to be working in partnership with the organisation.’
The accreditation follows a busy period for the repair centre, which now holds manufacturer approvals from more than 20 automotive brands, including Volkswagen, BMW and Renault.
The business also recently passed the milestone of 1,000 five-star customer reviews across online platforms including Google.
The recognition comes as parent company Snows Group continues to invest in sustainability across its dealership network.
As previously reported by Car Dealer, the family-run business has begun construction of a new environmentally friendly Toyota and Lexus dealership in Poole, which is due to open in summer 2027.
The new showroom on Yarrow Road will feature roof-mounted solar panels and will not use fossil fuels for heating or power. Recycled materials will also be used during construction, while the building has been designed to minimise energy consumption.
Snows Accident Repair Centre provides bodywork, alloy wheel and windscreen repairs and forms part of Snows Group, one of the UK’s largest privately owned dealer groups.
