Two men have been arrested after criminal damage was caused at a County Durham car dealership this weekend. 

Police were called to the business on Saturday, May 30, after reports of damage caused at the property.

Pat Lavery Cars of Horden is a used car dealership on Blackhills Road, also offering servicing and repairs.

A spokesperson for Durham Police said: ‘We were called to reports of criminal damage at the Pat Lavery car garage in Horden, on Saturday, May 30.

‘Two men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit criminal damage this morning and taken into custody where they remain.

‘An investigation is ongoing.’

The family business has been operating for more than 20 years in the area and offers a range of used vehicles.
