Dealer hands over MiTo

Time 8:34 am, August 21, 2012

ALFA Romeo dealer Motor Village Croydon has handed over the keys to a brand new MiTo to one lucky competition winner.

Howard Derham 20, from Kent received the keys to a brand new Alfa MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde, which he won by racing the 1.16-mile hill climb at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed on a new Augmented Reality motor racing app, created by Goodwood’s Moving Motor Show partner, Auto Trader.

The competition, which was run in conjunction with Auto Trader, gave participants who came to the Auto Trader stand at the Goodwood Festival the chance to win the car by racing a virtual version of the car around a full 3D version of the Goodwood circuit.

Each entrant who undertook a lap was automatically entered into the prize draw to win the MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde. Howard Derham’s name was selected at random after the event.

The prize car, which was given away by Auto Trader, was presented by Cristiano Calabrese, group general manager for Motor Village Croydon.

Calabrese said: ‘Alfa Romeo is an iconic marque and a hugely passionate brand. We are very pleased to be able to present Howard Derham with his new Alfa MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde prize. We are sure he’ll have many happy miles of motoring ahead of him.’

Damien Dally, head of brand, Alfa Romeo UK, said: ‘This is another great example of the exciting activities that Alfa Romeo continues to engage in.’
