The boss of a Scottish used car dealership was left in ‘total shock’ after winning the Dealers’ Dealer category at the 2025 Used Car Awards.
Craig Walker, CEO of Culloden Cars in Inverness, scooped the prestigious gong at the ‘Oscars of the used car industry’ last week.
The prize was voted for by fellow retailers and recognises someone who supports his or her peers in a very competitive and demanding world.
The honour reflects the respect and esteem that Walker enjoys amongst fellow members of the motor trade.
The experienced face is always keen to help out others in the industry and runs an online video diary series for fellow motor trade professionals and customers alike.
After collecting his trophy, he said: ‘I am genuinely shocked. When I saw who I was up against in this category, I didn’t think I was in with a chance – I’m still reeling but it’s a really nice feeling.
‘I do work hard and I do my best to help other dealers. We all operate in a fantastic industry that can be tough at times so recognition like this means a huge amount.’
Founded in 2001, Walker’s Culloden Cars is one of the leading independent used-car dealership in the Highlands.
The company prides itself on quality used vehicles, transparent pricing, thorough safety, warranty and MOT checks — plus aftersales support via its partner garage.
On hand to congratulate Walker on his award was Car Dealer editor-in-chief James Baggott, who said: ‘Very well done to Craig.
‘He should be very proud to be our Dealers’ Dealer for 2025 – it really is something to shout about. What better feeling can there be than to know you are respected amongst your peers in the industry?
‘We have loved watching episodes of his weekly video series and it’s great that he’s being honest and open with customers, engaging with them in a friendly yet professional way.’
