Family-run car dealer SG Petch has expanded its network of Mazda showrooms with the opening of a new site in York.
The site, at Monks Cross, becomes the retailer’s fourth Mazda dealership, joining its existing outlets in Darlington, Durham and Middlesbrough.
The 49,000sq ft facility is located close to the A64 and will offer new and used car sales alongside servicing and parts operations.
Confirming the news, SG Petch managing director Steve Petch (pictured) said the group was pleased to bring Mazda to customers in York.
‘We already represent the brand in Darlington, Durham and Middlesbrough, and remain one of the oldest Mazda dealerships in the UK,’ he said.
‘The new Mazda facility has a great location and customers for Mazda in the area can expect an exceptional experience across sales, service and parts.’
The dealership has opened at a busy time for Mazda, with the manufacturer adding three new models to its range this year.
The new Mazda6e and CX-5 are already available, while the CX-6e is due to arrive later this year.
It comes as Mazda looks to ramp up its dealer network and increase the amount of money dealers make from accessories.
