BMW has announced that James Morrison is to take over as managing director of its flagship Park Lane dealership.
No, the singer-songwriter has not had a drastic career change – it’s his namesake who has been promoted having worked for the German brand for over two decades.
Morrison is to take on the role from August 1, when he will succeed Michelle Roberts, who has been appointed vice president customer, brand & sales at BMW M GmbH.
Bosses have paid tribute to the work she has done at the Park Lane site, saying she has ‘successfully led a period of transformation’.
Morrison has been part of the brand’s Corporate Communications team since September 2025, leading product communications across BMW and Mini in the UK.
Those at the top say he will bring a ‘deep understanding of BMW Group and its customers, built through a 25-year career with the company’.
Throughout his time with the firm he has worked in a number of roles, covering product and event management, Mini, corporate sales and BMW Luxury Class.
His successor in the BMW Group UK Corporate Communications team will be announced in due course.
The news comes just days after Neil Fiorentinos was appointed CEO of BMW Group UK and Ireland.
The new boss, who takes over from David George, will begin his fresh post from September 1.
