911 for 2011: Our Citroen is up for sale

Time 6:01 am, March 28, 2011

c4aWE’VE finally managed to get our latest 911 for 2011 chariot up for sale – now the waiting game begins.

Our Citroen C4 Grand Picasso has been shod with new tyres, thanks to Continental, and has had three stone chips and dings expertly repaired by Chips Away – all it needs now is a new home.

Oh, and a clean. A very good clean at that. We’ve grown very fond of the big Citroen in the last few weeks. The 1.6-litre diesel is extremely economical – ferrying us last week to Leeds, London and Birmingham on official Car Dealer business.

It’s comfortable and spacious – you just have to look past the dodgy auto gearbox and brakes! Inside it needs a good clean and outside a bit of polish – we might enlist the help of the Poles down the road as they know a thing or two about valeting.

Saying that, we could get Batch to do after his tuition at the hands of AutoKlean last month…

The advert is now live on the Auto Trader website. We’ve put it up for a tempting £10,495 and will review that if it doesn’t move.We paid for three weeks online and two in the mag (is that still going?), so hopefully that will do the job! If not, there’s always eBay!

If you’d like to see the advert click here – and any help spreading the word to find us a buyer would be much appreciated.

If you don’t know, we’re attempting to trade up to a Porsche 911 in aid of automotive industry charity BEN from £0. We’re aiming to buy the Porsche for around £12,000 in the trade and we’ll then sell it and hand all the money over to the charity.
