DECEMBER saw the average price of new cars in the UK fall for the second month in a row, DrivenData figures reveal.
The automotive data specialist’s latest figures show that the average price of new cars fell by 0.12 per cent – from £27,522 to £27,489 – and December was the fourth time prices have dipped during the past 12 months.
The pace of inflation in car prices has also slowed to 3.614 per cent (it was previously 9.616 per cent), although the average annual price since January 1, 2010 increased by the same amount – 3.614 per cent – from £26,530.17 to £27,489.00.
