Time 5:11 pm, March 9, 2012

PROTON dealers will now be offering WMS Group’s ‘Safe and Sound’ used car warranties and customer satisfaction scheme.

The partnership between the Malaysian car manufacturer Car Dealer Power winners WMS will see the seven element warranty package endorsed by Sir Stirling Moss OBE rolled out to Proton dealers through the UK.

Eric Stone, business development director for the WMS Group, said: ‘We designed ‘Safe and Sound’ with the used car buyer in mind.

‘The scheme will afford them a competitive edge to increase sales opportunities and customer retention rates, and also give their customers a compelling reason to choose their next used car from their ‘Safe and Sound’ Proton dealer.’

Each selected used vehicle sold by a Proton dealer participating in the scheme will come with a 60 point safety inspection, provenance check, mileage verification, independent valuation, dealer buy back guarantee, comprehensive recovery package and a wear and tear all mechanical and electrical warranty.

‘Safe and Sound’ will embrace both Proton used cars and other manufacturers models offered at the dealership.

Simon Park – general manager, sales and marketing for Proton (UK) said: ‘We are delighted to be partnering with the WMS Group to support our dealer network with the innovative ‘Safe and Sound’ scheme. Proton dealerships pride themselves on offering the very highest standards of customer service and ‘Safe and Sound’ fits perfectly with this ethos.

The WMS Group scooped two Car Dealer Power Awards in 2011.  WMS was awarded ‘Best Innovation’ for ‘Safe and Sound’ and highly commended in the ‘Best Car Warranty’ category  – awards as voted for by dealers.
