maserati marshallMARSHALL Motor Group celebrated the opening of its new state-of-the-art Maserati showroom with an exhibition of work by some of Britain’s most iconic artists.

A champagne reception last Thursday gave special guests the opportunity to see the collection in the new Peterborough showroom. Among the pieces on display were works by Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Grayson Perry and Patrick Hughes. Guests also enjoyed live music by Loose Shoes and were given personalised caricatures drawn by Mark Tabbener.

Marshall Peterborough is the fourth new Maserati dealership to open its showroom doors this year – the luxury Italian marque now has a growing UK dealer network of 18 showrooms.

Chief executive of Marshall Motor Group Daksh Gupta said: ‘We are delighted to be partnering with Maserati in Peterborough. Maserati is a much-admired brand with a very exciting range of highly desirable products, including the new Ghibli. Peterborough is at the heart of a fast-growing regional economy, which Marshall has been part of for nearly 70 years. We look forward to welcoming our new customers to Marshall Maserati.’

The six-car showroom in Tyrrell Park, Boongate, will showcase the entire Maserati road car collection, from the flagship top-of-the-range Quattroporte and the Ghibli executive saloon to the high-performance and ultra-luxurious GranTurismo and GranCabrio models. As well as catering for new customers, Marshall Maserati Peterborough also offers a full after sales service run by a dedicated team of Maserati specialist technicians.

Region manager Maserati North Europe Peter Denton said: ‘2014 has been a landmark year for Maserati. With the introduction of the new Ghibli model we have been able to attract many new customers. The increasing demand for our products has resulted in the largest UK dealer network expansion in the company’s history and every month we are beating year-on-year sales records. It’s a very exciting time for Marshall to join our business and I look forward to working with them to take Maserati’s success further.’
