A French company perpetrating to sell used cars in the UK is using the name Automotive Services Ltd to front its business.

Not only has the company created a web and Facebook page to communicate with customers, it has also used ASE’s web address and global head office contact details in the UK, as a front to sell used cars.

Chief executive of ASE plc, Rob Jones explains: ‘We knew it was serious when two men arrived at our offices to view a car, as a result it is now lodged with the Fraud Squad who have issued a Crime Reference Number and requested that all enquiries are reported via their Action Fraud Hotline.

‘Additionally, we wish to assure our clients that we have not started selling used cars.’
