Aston Martin appoints Sky Group as its sole Tokyo dealer

Time 9:01 am, February 16, 2017

ASTON Martin has appointed leading luxury car retailer Sky Group as its sole dealer in Tokyo.

The new flagship Aston Martin Tokyo dealership will enjoy a prime location in the centre of the luxury car district in Aoyama, and will serve as a brand hub for Aston Martin in the Asia Pacific region.

The move will see Sky Group taking on all sales, aftersales, marketing and brand-building responsibilities for Aston Martin in Tokyo from April 1.

Shigeto Kasai, Sky Group CEO, said: ‘Aston Martin is a luxury British brand that produces highly desirable and stunningly beautiful sports cars. We are excited by the brand and its vibrant future – from the recently-launched DB11 to the Second Century plan for forthcoming models.’

Aston Martin Tokyo will become the sole Aston Martin dealership in the city, and will see Sky Group replacing the brand’s two existing dealers there.

Atlantic Cars will conclude its Aston Martin dealership service at the end of March 2017, and Aston Martin Akasaka at the end of June.

Aston Martin Asia Pacific president Patrik Nilsson said: ‘I would like to formally acknowledge the success achieved in Tokyo by both Aston Martin Akasaka and Atlantic Cars Limited. I would like to extend my personal thanks to all the staff at Atlantic Cars and Aston Martin Akasaka for their dedication and passion for the brand over the last two decades.

‘I am thrilled, too, with our new partner, Sky Group, a leading luxury automotive retailer here in Japan. I very much look forward to working with Sky in Tokyo as we move the company forward into an exciting new era.’
