Repair centres still open

SEWARD Accident Repair Centres have stressed they are unaffected by the appointment of administrators at Seward (Wessex) Ltd.

Seward (Wessex), which holds the group’s Vauxhall and Chevrolet franchises, was placed in administration on Tuesday.

Today, Ian Clark, chairman of Seward Accident Repair Centres Ltd, said: ‘Although we share the same Seward name there are no other connections with Seward (Wessex) Ltd.

‘Seward Accident Repair Centres Ltd has its own contracts and relationships and is a totally independent organisation with its own financial arrangements and client base.

‘This administration will have no effect on the accident repair side of the business now or indeed in the future.

‘Seward Accident Repair Centres Ltd will continue to trade as it has done for the last 23 years and all ledgers will continue to be paid in a timely manner. In short, it’s business as normal.’

Hyundai has also confirmed its dealerships operated by Sewards are not affected by the administration as they are run by Sewards (Dorset) Ltd.
