Time 10:49 am, October 21, 2016

NEW and used car dealership group Caffyns is to expand its presence in Ashford after buying 2.1 acres of land there for £1.125m.

The land adjoins its Used Car Centre, pictured above, and will see the company build on its operations in the Kent town.

Caffyns, which has traded for more than 150 years, currently has 13 premises across Kent and Sussex, selling brands including Audi, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen and Volvo.

In March this year it announced that it was selling its Lewes-based Land Rover business the following month to Harwood for £5.7m, after Jaguar Land Rover said it would not be renewing its contract with Caffyns.
