All things new car sales-related were discussed on Car Dealer Live today.
John O’Hanlon, CEO of dealer group Waylands Automotive, appeared live on the Car Dealer YouTube channel at midday.
Waylands was created by O’Hanlon in November 2017 and quickly snapped up four Volvo dealerships within a year, including Fawcetts of Newbury – the Swedish brand’s longest-serving dealer in the UK.
O’Hanlon is an industry veteran and before setting up Waylands Automotive he was a non-executive director at John Clark Motor Group and, most notably, CEO of Ridgeway Group between February 2007 and May 2016. He oversaw the buy-out of the firm by Marshall for £106.9m.
